The oldest pair of hand-stitched gloves were found as far back as the reign of Tutankhamen.
A red coloured pair were unearthed from the tomb of this once great king.

The art of Traditional handmade glove-making is a skill that is becoming rarer by the day
world-wide. Turning animal hide into armour, boots and gloves is what aided our transition
into modern man and although machines now manufacture animal hide for us you cannot ever
compare quality and authenticity against a hand-cut hand-stitched product.

Englands history boasts stories of noblemen hunting the moors and woodlands and the
relationships we had with our once vast openlands. Our very own WIlliam Shakespears father
was a great glovemaker. Centuries ago we used birds to hunt...without the
use of guns. This age old tradition lives on in one man, Ian Middleton, the bird whisperer!
